Richard Pelliccio has extensive, over 23 years, trial and litigation experience, defending and prosecuting complex matters.  Mr. Pelliccio has successfully first-chaired numerous cases to verdict and conducted hundreds of depositions.

Prior to joining Lord & Hardaway LLP, Mr. Pelliccio worked in positions from Associate to Partner in major New York law firms including Eckert Seamans LLP, Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, and Holland & Knight LLP.


Notable Cases

  • Successfully prosecuted a complex product liability action that culminated in a $25,000,000 recovery.

  • Negotiated and drafted policy wording and facultative reinsurance agreements and analyzed and resolved multimillion-dollar insurance claims.

  • Defended radar manufacturer in a matter arising out of the crash of a commercial jetliner in Brazil.

  • Defended aviation insurers in coverage actions in AAA Arbitrations.

  • Sued Venezuelan government in action involving petroleum sales.

  • Defended US subsidiary of Dutch corporation in adversary proceedings involving preference claims.

  • Represented equipment financiers in actions against borrowers and lessees.

  • Represented product manufacturers in liability actions throughout the United States.

  • Represented equipment financiers in disputes arising out of UCC Article 2A finance leases.

  • Represented aircraft financiers in actions against lessees of aircraft and jet engines.

  • Worked on a subrogation action against the manufacturer of a defective telecommunications satellite.
